This is where to talk about Europe's latest and most advanced air superiority aircraft.

It's a known fact that Saudi Typhoon fly over Toulouse - Blagnac when they leave Europe.

Does someone know when we can spot them ?

You better look at forums like UKAR etc. To my knowledge 2 additional aircraft has just been delivered. That means the RSAF has 12 aircraft now.

Half way to their total of 24 BaE assembled airframes. Have they set up for local assembly / started local assembly yet? Anyone know?

No local assembly won't start before 2011/2012 and there might be further delays.

I understand there is a great deal of details regarding Saudi production that need to be finalised.

Clouds can have silver linings, can't they? What about SA orders a few more to cover the late delivery of 48 "self-assembled" Typhoons? I can see the UK govt being happy diverting Typhoon production slots destined for the RAF to RSAF. I can see all the other partners being happy, too - more components to produce. I can see the RSAF being pleased - not being "stuck" with a single squadron until home-produced airframes come on stream.
